Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller / Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role involves managing medical billing processes, handling patient reception duties, and ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical coding, billing procedures, and EMR/EHR systems, contributing to efficient office operations and excellent patient service. Responsibilities Prepare and submit insurance claims using
DRG, CPT
coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards Verify patient insurance information and coverage details Collect payments and process medical collections efficiently Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures at the front desk Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within EMR/EHR systems Assist with appointment scheduling and patient inquiries Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy policies Update and manage medical billing data to ensure timely reimbursement Collaborate with medical staff to resolve billing discrepancies or issues Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or related medical office roles Knowledge of
ICD, CPT, DRG
coding systems, and medical terminology Familiarity with EMR and EHR systems for record management Strong understanding of medical records management and healthcare compliance standards Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally Prior experience in a medical office environment is preferred Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance providers
Pay:
$21.06 - $25.36 per hour
