Duties Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out procedures with enthusiasm. Collect patient information, verify insurance coverage, and update medical records accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Prepare and submit healthcare claims for reimbursement using billing software, ensuring compliance with healthcare claims management standards. Code medical procedures and diagnoses precisely using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, ICD coding systems, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) classifications. Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims through medical collection efforts while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Maintain detailed documentation of billing activities, medical records, and correspondence related to insurance claims. Respond promptly to patient inquiries regarding billing issues or insurance questions with clear communication and professionalism. Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with medical terminology, records management, and healthcare workflows. Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, including understanding of ICD (International Classification of Diseases), CPT coding, DRG classifications, and billing procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel is essential for documentation and reporting tasks. Experience with EMR/EHR systems and billing software is required to ensure accurate data entry and claim processing. Knowledge of medical collection practices coupled with excellent customer service skills will support effective patient interactions. Familiarity with medical coding standards—
