Medical Front Office Receptionist Victoria Orthopedic Center - Victoria, TX Are you friendly, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office? Victoria Orthopedic Center is looking for an experienced Medical Front Office Receptionist who takes pride in providing excellent patient service while keeping the check-in process accurate and efficient. As one of the first people our patients meet when they arrive, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional experience. We are looking for someone who can greet patients with a smile while also handling insurance, demographics, copays, and EMR documentation accurately and efficiently. What You'll Do Welcome and greet patients in a friendly, professional manner. Check patients in accurately and efficiently. Obtain and update patient demographics, contact information, identification, and insurance cards. Accurately enter patient and insurance information into our EMR system. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Identify and collect required copays and other patient-responsibility amounts at check-in. Accurately document and process patient payments. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who is friendly with patients, confident with computers, detail-oriented, and able to multitask without sacrificing accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous medical front office, patient registration, or medical receptionist experience. Experience verifying health insurance eligibility and benefits. Experience collecting copays and patient balances. Strong computer and data-entry skills. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Ability to work efficiently in a busy medical practice. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable and punctual with a professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work well as part of a team. eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is a definite plus. Ensure required forms and patient information are complete and current. Answer patient questions and direct patients to the appropriate staff member when needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Communicate effectively with clinical, billing, and administrative staff. Help maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the day.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
