Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Receptionist (FT ) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting clinical staff. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in various medical settings, including urgent care and trauma centers. Duties Assist with patient intake and registration processes, ensuring accurate collection of information. Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide support in various medical specialties, including geriatrics, dermatology, and emergency medicine. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care, answering questions and addressing concerns. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care in a clinic or urgent care setting. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and data management. Qualifications Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment. Experience with patients in a clinic setting to ensure safe practices in patient care. Strong background in patient service, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients. Familiarity with urgent care settings is advantageous. Knowledge of geriatrics is a plus for specialized patient interactions. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively within a clinical setting.
