Job Description
We're a high-volume medical weight loss practice looking for an experienced medical receptionist who can run the front desk independently — insurance verification, collections, scheduling, and a phone that never stops ringing. What you'll do: Manage a high-volume phone queue (scheduling, rescheduling, patient questions, insurance inquiries) Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments Collect copays, deductibles, and patient balances accurately at time of service Keep the schedule full—work cancellation lists, fill last-minute openings, minimize no-shows Support billing workflows including posting payments and following up on outstanding balances What we're looking for: 2+ years in a medical front desk or patient services role Strong working knowledge of insurance verification, copays, deductibles, and prior authorizations Experience with high call volume environments—you don't get rattled when the phones are ringing Familiarity with EHR and practice management systems (Tebra and/or Office Ally experience a plus) Detail-oriented and accurate with money handling and data entry Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
