Medical Receptionist / Front Office / Scheduler DPOR Roanoke, VA Job Details Part-time | PRN $16 - $18 an hour 17 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Phone communication Computer literacy HIPAA Filing Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Typing Technical Proficiency Office phone management Quality data entry Customer data entry Full Job Description Part time receptionist/ PRN / front desk employee needed for busy medical office. Medical front office experience and Medical Insurance knowledge is required. Current need is coverage for one day per week. Additional hours available for illness or vacation coverage of other staff. Hours would be scheduled between 7:30 am and 5 pm M-F. No weekends. Duties to include answering phone system and directing calls, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, entering patient demographics into computer system, copying insurance cards, collecting copays and necessary patient signatures, mailing of new patient information packets, confirming appointments, processing patient payments, answering basic billing questions, etc. There is a lot of phone usage and patient contact. Accuracy in data entry and a pleasant phone voice are necessities.
Minimum requirements:
HS or equivalent education Medical front office experience and medical insurance knowledge Computer proficiency and quick learner Professional and friendly phone voice Good work ethic and reliability Ability to work well with others
