Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic by providing exceptional support to both patients and dental professionals. This position requires a strong understanding of dental office procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage various administrative tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar effectively. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Assist in medical billing processes, including verification of insurance information and processing claims. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to patient visits. Utilize dental software systems such as Meditech for managing patient information and treatment plans. Support dental staff during procedures by preparing instruments and materials as needed. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental office environment. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental office or medical office management is preferred. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation review skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance companies. Proficient in using dental practice management software; experience with Meditech is advantageous. Knowledge of medical billing processes is desirable but not mandatory. Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to patient care.
