Job Description

This position ensures the patient's experience is pleasant from the moment they call to make an appointment, to the moment they arrive. As part of the front office staff, you are the first point of contact and interaction the patient has when they enter our facility. Friendliness, attentiveness, and kindness are a must. We want all patients and visitors to feel welcomed :) This position is responsible for patient communications, scheduling, insurance and demographic verification via our electronic medical record, and financial transactions for the day of service. Experience as a medical receptionist or in an office/administrative position is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Check-in patients Schedule appointments Enter demographic and insurance information Receive incoming calls Collect co-payments Process new patient paperwork Learn/understand patient insurance plans Learn/understand HIPAA guidelines
Skills:
Excellent customer service skills Ability to provide clear communication Strong computer knowledge Possess a high level of attention to detail Ability to work independently when needed Team player The position is full-time (32-40 hours) and the hourly rate is entirely based on prior job, school, and life experience as a whole. Indeed's computer system applies its own wage range based on many factors, but please do not rely on that for an accurate representation. We offer paid holidays, vacation and sick time, free health insurance, a 401K plan with an employer contribution, and more! We are open to patients Tuesday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. Staff hours can vary, but are typically 7:00am to 6:00pm (give or take) with an hour lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
