We are seeking a full-time Travelling Medical Scribe / Medical Assistant to support a busy Interventional Cardiologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for accompanying the cardiologist to remote locations, including Fountain Hills and Prescott to assist with medical documentation. This is an exciting opportunity to work in various settings and gain valuable experience in the field of cardiology.

Duties:

• Assist healthcare providers with medical documentation by accurately transcribing patient encounters and medical information.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in prescription refill requests and new prescriptions ordered by the physician.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely documentation.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to input and retrieve patient information.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines for medical documentation and record keeping.
• Adhere to confidentiality and privacy regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
• Provide front desk administrative support as needed.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Proficient typing skills with the ability to accurately transcribe medical information in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other medical documentation software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate and complete medical records.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
• Strong and professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with healthcare team members.

The position includes travelling between Mesa, AZ, Fountain Hills, AZ and Prescott, AZ throughout the week. Mileage is reimbursed and time is paid for travel. This position is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of interventional cardiology from a physician's perspective.
