Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe. As a Medical Scribe, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to accurately document patient encounters and assist with administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the medical field.Duties:
- Accompany healthcare professionals during patient visits and accurately document medical histories, symptoms, and treatments in real-time
- Transcribe medical dictations and ensure accuracy of information
- Assist with medical record management, including organizing and maintaining patient files
- Enter data into electronic health record (EHR) systems and ensure completeness and accuracy of information
- Coordinate communication between healthcare providers, patients, and other medical staff
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing paperwork
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Excellent typing skills with the ability to type accurately and efficiently
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with medical records systems and electronic health record (EHR) software
- Ability to transcribe medical dictations quickly and accurately
- Knowledge of specialized fields such as ophthalmology or emergency medicine is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
