This role involves assisting physicians with medical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and maintaining precise electronic medical records (EMR/EHR). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent writing skills, and the ability to interact professionally with patients. This paid position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the medical field while supporting efficient clinical operations. Duties Accompany physicians into patient examinations to document patient histories, physical exams, diagnostic results, and treatment plans directly into the EMR system. Utilize medical terminology effectively to ensure precise and comprehensive documentation of diagnoses, treatments, and patient histories. Ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Engage professionally with patients when necessary, supporting a smooth clinical workflow. Collaborate with medical staff to improve documentation processes and accuracy. Experience Prior experience or familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong knowledge of medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation. Excellent writing skills with attention to detail are required to produce clear and precise records. Understanding of HIPAA compliance standards is necessary to ensure confidentiality and legal adherence. Previous experience in medical transcription or related roles is advantageous but not mandatory. Effective communication skills and professionalism are critical for interacting with healthcare providers and patients alike.
