We are currently seeking a professional Medical Assistant/Scribe for a full-time position, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30-6:30, with Thursdays off, at our Stuart and Port St. Lucie offices. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs.
Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, organized, and dependable applicant who enjoys working with patients and is interested in building a career in the healthcare field. The ideal applicant will be comfortable learning new skills, multitasking in a busy medical office, and working as part of a team. We welcome applicants who are new to the healthcare field and are willing to learn. Training will be provided to the right applicant who demonstrates a positive attitude, professionalism, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn all aspects of the ENT, Allergy, and Audiology field.
Medical Assistant/Scribe Responsibilities:
Answer patient calls and assist with patient questions Take and record patient vital signs Assist with obtaining authorizations Schedule diagnostic tests and surgical procedures Prepare and maintain exam rooms Assist the physician with patient care and in-office procedures Assist with prescription-related requests as directed Clean and sterilize instruments according to office procedures Assist with medical documentation and scribing Enter and update patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) Provide professional and compassionate support to patients throughout their visit
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous Medical Assistant or Medical Scribe experience is preferred, but not required Previous healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience is a plus Willingness to participate in and successfully complete our in-house training program and applicable state requirements, as appropriate Willingness to learn and assist with in-office and surgical procedures Familiarity with medical terminology is desired Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and team members Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn EMR systems Bilingual is a plus

Physical Demands:
Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. The applicant must also be able to assist patients in transferring from a wheelchair to an exam chair when necessary. Responsibilities may also require the applicant to travel between ENTAAF offices for training and support purposes. The applicant must also be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
