ENT Scribe/ Medical Assistant The position of Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians and nurse practitioners with multiple aspects of electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and associated patient care. The Scribe/MA will be working closely with physicians and clinical staff rooming patients, documenting accurate and precise medical information along with processing documentation, lab/ imaging/ prescription orders and any needed patient follow-up. You will be responsible for transcribing written, dictated, and outside electronic medical information into the EMR. You will also be responsible for distinguishing between different forms of medical results, physical exam findings, and lab results and will appropriately document them within the EMR. The Scribe/MA will have training with multiple physicians and peers.

Qualification:

Education:

Associate degree or higher with an interest in the medical field is required. Pre-medical studies are preferred. 2. Good understanding of basic medical terminology and anatomy. 3. Fast, accurate typing skills along with general computer skills and knowledge is a must. 4. Must be able to listen carefully to both patient and physicians, learn and use e-Clinical Works (the utilized electronic medical record), and accurately document.

Work Experience:

Experience in the medical field is required. Prior electronic medical record experience is preferred. This opportunity provides outstanding outpatient clinical experience for those interested in the healthcare industry.
