Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scribe/Medical Assistant to join our team. This role combines administrative and clinical responsibilities to support our providers and ensure smooth daily operations. This position is open to all qualified candidates—whether you're exploring a long-term healthcare career or seeking a stable, rewarding role in patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Scribing:
Accurately document patient encounters, including medical history, exam findings, and treatment plans, in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Patient Care:
Assist with pre-testing procedures, including visual acuity tests, tonometry, and imaging as needed.
Clinic Operations:
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, restock exam rooms, and ensure equipment is properly sanitized and ready for use.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with ophthalmologist, optometrist, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a healthcare or optometry setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with computer systems and EMR software; experience with optometry-specific platforms is a plus. College or Associates degree required; additional certification in medical assisting or scribing is a plus. Why Join Insight Vision Care?
