Columbia Woods Medical Group in Norton is looking for a full time Medical Scribe to work Monday- Friday 7:45a-4:30p Must have previous Scribe Medical Office experience The Job Description is as follows: Applicant required to have clinical background(CMA, RMA, LPN, RN)
General Duties:
General duties include, but are not limited to, the following abilities: Accompany the physician into the patient exam room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present. List all proper diagnoses under the assessment and document all symptoms as well as follow up instructions, and prescriptions as dictated by the physician. Transcribe orders for any laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging or medications as ordered by the physician. Document any procedures performed by the physician. Apply human relation skills, establish a good rapport and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with patients, physicians, and coworkers. Treat patients with courtesy at all times making them feel comfortable during their visit. Participate in daily huddles. Collect pertinent patient medical information to assist the physician in the care of patients. Apply medical knowledge to assist the physician in educating patients about their treatment and/or diagnosis' by printing appropriate patient education from the EMR or patient resource binder. Instruct patients regarding information needed once they leave the office, including, but not limited to, providing the patient with appropriate education materials. Participate in scheduled customer service training and computer training provided by Pioneer Physicians Network Administration. Perform other duties as assigned.
