This position may involve working remotely or accompanying the physician in a hospital/clinical setting, depending on the physician's schedule and needs. Responsibilities Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR). Accompany the physician during hospital rounds and/or patient visits when required. Assist with documenting patient histories, physical examinations, assessments, and treatment plans as directed by the physician. Enter and update relevant patient information in the medical record. Assist the physician with maintaining organized and complete clinical documentation. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy. Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Complete documentation and assigned tasks in a timely manner. Perform remote medical scribing when appropriate. Provide additional documentation or administrative support to the physician as needed. Qualifications Previous medical scribe or healthcare experience is preferred but not required. Knowledge of medical terminology is strongly preferred. Strong typing, communication, and organizational skills. Comfortable working with electronic medical record systems. Reliable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to work independently as well as directly alongside a physician. Work Setting This position may include a combination of: Remote medical scribing In-person clinical scribing The work location and schedule may vary. Schedule Monday - Friday. Experience Medical scribing or healthcare experience is preferred. Training may be provided to the right candidate.
Compensation:
Compensation will be discussed and negotiated during the interview process.
Pay:
$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
