Summary:

Under close supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs technical duties related to pharmaceutical care in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

All Repackages and distributes prescriptions under the general oversight of a licensed pharmacist. Maintains advanced pharmaceutical automation and equipment. Triages complex, high-volume communications from patients, providers, and clinics; independently resolves administrative or operational barriers to care and escalates clinical inquiries to the pharmacist. Maintains rigorous adherence to local, state, and federal regulatory frameworks, including

HIPAA, DEA

controlled-substance handling regulations, and ambulatory practice standards. Accurately documents patient information and evaluates patient profiles via the electronic health record system, ensuring demographic and procedural documentation. Follows proper billing procedures. Enforces strict hazardous chemical and drug storage protocols according to strict USP (e.g., USP / ) and departmental guidelines. Coordinates inventory control; maintains Drugs Supply and Chain act adherence, analyzes stock rotations, prevents shortages. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Pharmacy Technician II Performs full-performance, moderately complex technical and administrative pharmacy operations with a high degree of independence. Works under general supervision, executing standardized workflows with minimal daily oversight or follow-up. Demonstrates proficient problem-solving abilities in resolving complex workflow issues. Serves as a reliable operational resource, ensuring accuracy in medication preparation and data entry while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards. Pharmacy Technician III Perform high level, complex, and responsible tasks within this position and usually work with minimum supervision and follow-up from their supervisor. Manages and processes complex maintenance medication refills under clinical oversight, utilizing extensive pharmaceutical knowledge to verify profile accuracy, quantities, and adherence intervals. Pharmacy Technician IV Provides advanced operational leadership, strategic workflow optimization, and technical direction across pharmacies. Serves as the primary operational partner to pharmacy management, collaborating to establish departmental goals, prioritize initiatives, and structurally assign complex projects. Architect of technical staff development; designs, implements, and oversees comprehensive training programs, onboarding pathways, and annual competency assessments. Serves as a subject matter expert in pharmacy automation and regulatory compliance, troubleshooting systemic workflow disruptions and guiding lower-tier staff through advanced problem resolution.

Pharmacy Technician I Non-supervisory - None Pharmacy Technician II Non-supervisory - One (1) year professional experience at Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) Pharmacy or related experience. Pharmacy Technician III Non-supervisory - Three (3) years professional experience at Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) Pharmacy or related experience. Pharmacy Technician IV Non-supervisory - Five (5) years professional experience at Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) Pharmacy or related experience

MINIMUM CERTIFICATION QUALIFICATION

All Must possess a current State of Alaska Pharmacy Technician or Intern License. Pharmacy Technician
