PM Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Certified Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our nursing home team on a full-time basis. The Med Tech is responsible for safely administering medications to residents according to physician orders and facility policies while providing quality care and support.
Responsibilities:
Administer and document medications accurately and on schedule. Follow physician orders, medication protocols, and facility policies. Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns to the nurse or supervisor. Assist residents with activities of daily living and provide compassionate support. Maintain accurate medication and resident care records. Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other healthcare staff. Follow infection-control, safety, and emergency procedures. Maintain confidentiality and respect each resident's privacy and dignity. Assist with other resident-care duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current Med Tech/Medication Aide certification as required by the state. Previous experience in a nursing home, assisted living, or long-term care setting preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Dependable, compassionate, and able to work as part of a healthcare team. Ability to safely and respectfully care for elderly residents.
