We are currently seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Medication Technician (MedTech/Medication Passer) to join our growing team. Position Summary As a Medication Technician (MedTech) , you will play a vital leadership role during your shift by ensuring the safe administration and documentation of resident medications while supporting the overall health, safety, and well-being of our residents. The MedTech serves as a role model for caregivers by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and compassionate care. In addition to medication administration assistance, you will help guide Care Partners, ensure assigned tasks are completed, and support compliance with California Title 22 regulations and Redwood Living policies. Job Responsibilities Assist residents with the self-administration of medications in accordance with California Title 22 regulations and facility policy. Safely administer and accurately document all medications. Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and report concerns to nursing, physicians, and management. Maintain proper storage, inventory, ordering, documentation, and discontinuation of medications. Supervise medication carts and medication room security. Lead and support caregivers during your assigned shift while promoting teamwork and accountability. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including: Personal hygiene Dressing and grooming Mobility assistance Toileting and incontinence care Meal assistance Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and kitchen duties as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and resident records. Follow all Redwood Living policies, infection control procedures, and resident rights. Ensure compliance with all California Title 22 regulations. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of MedTech experience in a larger assisted living community preferred. Must be registered in the California Guardian system with a clear criminal background . Reliable, dependable, and responsible. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize resident safety. Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward seniors. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, as many of our residents are Spanish-speaking. CNA experience is a plus. Live Scan reimbursement provided after 90 days of successful employment .
