Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our Team. Responsibilities Collect and process specimens through venipuncture, blood sampling, and other specimen collection techniques while maintaining aseptic procedures. Perform laboratory tests including clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunoassays, PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and RNA/DNA extraction with precision and adherence to protocols. Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, analyzers, microscopes, and blood banking devices ensuring proper calibration and quality control. Manage laboratory data efficiently using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), ensuring accuracy in data entry and analysis. Implement laboratory quality control protocols to uphold CLIA regulations and ensure reliable test results across all assays. Interpret diagnostic test results accurately for clinical trials or patient diagnostics while adhering to medical terminology standards. Maintain detailed records of laboratory procedures, test results, and quality assurance activities in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. S Qualifications Proven experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting with knowledge of laboratory techniques such as PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, immunoassays, hematology testing, microbiology testing, and clinical chemistry testing. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology concepts, and laboratory procedures including specimen collection (venipuncture), blood banking, phlebotomy, and aseptic technique. Proficiency in operating medical laboratory equipment along with experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIS) or Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). Familiarity with CLIA regulations and implementing laboratory quality control protocols to ensure accuracy of test results. Excellent data management skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets related to diagnostic tests or research studies. Knowledge of hospital or clinical environment workflows including specimen processing for microbiology or hematology testing. Ability to interpret diagnostic tests accurately while adhering to safety standards; prior experience in blood banking or cytotechnology is a plus. Strong communication skills combined with meticulous attention to detail; previous experience working within a research or clinical trial setting is advantageous.
