This position is responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring compliance with health regulations, including HIPAA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology, as well as experience in dementia care and catheter care. Duties Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols Monitor and record vital signs to assess residents' health status Provide assistance with daily living activities while ensuring the safety and comfort of residents Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration and resident care Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of resident information Assist in catheter care and other personal hygiene tasks as needed Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills Skills Proficient knowledge of home community care practices Experience in dementia care, demonstrating empathy and understanding of residents' needs Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Ability to operate various healthcare systems for documentation and reporting Competence in taking vital signs accurately and efficiently Understanding of catheter care procedures for resident comfort and safety Strong grasp of medical terminology relevant to medication administration Knowledge of physiology to better understand residents' health conditions The Medication Technician position is ideal for compassionate individuals who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for those they serve.
