CPR Full Job Description Job Overview Shifts:
1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in administering medications, monitoring patient health, and providing exceptional care to our residents. Your expertise will ensure safe medication management and support the overall well-being of individuals in various care settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized medical attention. You will work in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism, empathy, and teamwork, all while adhering to strict healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely according to state regulations and facility policies Monitor residents' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to medication treatments Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition support Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and memory care Follow infection control protocols including HIPAA compliance and proper manual handling techniques Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are executed effectively Requirements Valid certification as a Medication Aide recognized by the State Board of Nursing or equivalent licensing authority Proven experience working with geriatric patients or in senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) including CPR and first aid certifications Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while maintaining patient comfort and safety Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is preferred Understanding of state healthcare regulations, HIPAA privacy standards, and medical records management Join us to be part of a caring team committed to enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
