Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing essential support to patients in a senior care environment. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the well-being of our residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care. Duties Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols and guidelines. Monitor patients for side effects and reactions to medications, reporting any concerns to nursing staff. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each patient, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal assistance. Provide compassionate care to residents with various needs, including dementia care and hospice support. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Utilize medical terminology effectively in communication with team members and in documentation. Experience Previous experience in senior care or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and medical records management. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare setting. Experience using electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus. Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial. Compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and respect for residents' dignity.
