CountryHouse Cedar Rapids , an Agemark Senior Living community, is looking for a compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our team. At Agemark, caring for others is at the heart of what we do. We're proud to be recognized by Fortune as one of the Best Workplaces for Aging Services . What You'll Do Safely administer medications according to physician orders and residents' care plans. Accurately document medication administration and maintain required records. Observe residents for changes in condition, side effects, or concerns and promptly report them to nursing staff. Assist residents with activities of daily living while providing compassionate, respectful care. Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members. Help create a positive, supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for. What We're Looking For Active 40-hour Medication Aide certification or equivalent based on Iowa requirements. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to serve older adults. Basic computer skills for medication tracking and documentation. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Iowa Medication Aide Requirement:
Medication Aides must complete a department-approved medication aide or medication manager course and pass the required exam before administering medications to residents.
