Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in an assisted living/memory care environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of physiology and be skilled in administering medications and assisting with various healthcare needs. This role is crucial in ensuring the well-being of our senior residents while maintaining their dignity and comfort. Duties Administer prescribed medications to residents according to established protocols. Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Assist residents with catheter care as needed. Provide personal care support, including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident care. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families regarding care plans. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control practices. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance caregiving skills. Experience Previous experience in home care, nursing home, or assisted living settings is preferred. Knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is beneficial. Familiarity with medication administration systems and protocols is a plus. Experience in providing senior care and understanding the unique needs of elderly individuals. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating empathy and patience. Pay:
$16.50 - $19.00 per hour
