Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. This is a crucial role in providing quality care to our residents and clients.

Duties:

• Administer medications to patients according to prescribed dosages and schedules
• Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
• Assist with physical examinations and medical procedures as directed by healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist in the implementation of care plans for patients, including those with dementia or in hospice care
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures

Requirements:

• Valid Medication Aide certification
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in assisted living or nursing home settings
• Knowledge of physiology and medication administration principles
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (Epic)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
