Overview We prescribe a new Career for you as a Medication Aide! Medication Aides needed STAT! Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our residents. How you Will make a difference The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) administers medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, under the direction of the Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing. Medication administration is performed in accordance with established nursing standards, facility policies and procedures, and applicable state requirements. Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document oral and/or topical medications as ordered by the attending physician, per state and federal guidelines. Adhere to the 5 rights of medication administration (right resident, right mediation, right does, right route, right time) Observe and document medication administration, including any refusals, omissions, or errors, and promptly notify the Charge Nurse. Monitor medication supply levels and coordinate with the Charge Nurse to ensure adequate stock is maintained. Adhere to controlled substances, narcotic recordkeeping, and medication destruction requirements per state and federal guidelines. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide CNA-level care as needed and directed. Participate in quality assurance and process improvement activities as requested. Perform other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.
