The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their medication needs are met with precision and empathy. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care, medical documentation, and the ability to work effectively with individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and memory care facilities. Duties Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report any concerns to the nursing staff. Assist with vital sign checks and other health assessments as needed. Provide support in daily living activities, including bathing, grooming and catheter care when required. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient patient management. Engage with residents in a compassionate manner, fostering a supportive environment for those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease. Experience Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospitals is highly desirable. Familiarity with caregiving practices in senior care settings, including hospice and memory care. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus. Proficiency in medical documentation and understanding of medication administration protocols is required. Prior experience using EMR/EHR systems will be beneficial for this role.
