Location:
Allegria Village - Dearborn, MI Join our team at Allegria Village, the largest assisted living community in the U.S., where compassionate care meets a vibrant senior lifestyle. We're currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Medication Technician (Med Tech) to support our residents in our Assisted Living Facility.

Morning, Afternoon and Night shift
Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available Requirements:
To be considered, candidates must have: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medication Technician in an
Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing Facility Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with the self-administration of prescribed medications Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration (right resident, drug, dose, time, route, and documentation) Monitor resident health (vital signs, symptoms) and promptly report any concerns Record medication administration accurately in the Medication Administration Record (MAR) Ensure medication carts, cabinets, and rooms are organized, clean, and fully stocked Audit medication carts daily and ensure timely medication reorders Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staff Provide companionship and emotional support to residents Respect residents' rights to dignity, privacy, and medication refusal Identify and report any adverse reactions or health concerns Help prevent infection through proper procedures and hygiene Maintain documentation and complete paperwork in a timely and efficient manner Support residents' evolving care needs with prompt attention Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
At least 6 months of Medication Tech experience Med Tech Certification Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to act quickly and appropriately in emergency situations Effective communication skills (verbal and written in English) Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
Education & Certification:
High school diploma or GED required CPR certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
