- Monroe, MI Part-Time | Medication Technician (Med Tech)
Currently Available Schedules and Shifts:
Evening/Midnight Shift:
6:00 p.m.- 6:30 a.m.
- Part-time | 72 hours per two-week pay period Six 12-hour shifts per two-week period
- Positions available include working every other weekend and every other holiday

- Safely administer prescribed medications, including oral medications and, when trained and authorized, subcutaneous insulin, in accordance with physician orders and community policy
- Assist residents with medication administration while monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions
- Accurately document medication administration, including PRN use, effectiveness, and any follow-up interventions
- Obtain and record vital signs as needed to assess resident response to medications
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records under appropriate supervision
- Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests, supporting overall care needs
- Foster a respectful, compassionate environment for residents, families, and team members
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a Medication Technician (Med Tech) required if formal training has not been completed
- Previous experience as a CENA or Nurse Aide required
- Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or direct care healthcare facility
Education Preferred:
- Successful completion of an approved Medication Technician (Med Tech) training program preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Resident-centered approach with awareness and sensitivity to individual needs and abilities
- Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Working knowledge of electronic charting systems and basic computer applications
- Dependability and ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting and transferring residents
