Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Giver/Medication Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents in various care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity are maintained at all times. Your expertise will support individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring assistance with daily activities, meal preparation, medication management, and housekeeping. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support for residents. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to assess residents' health status regularly. Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Follow all state healthcare regulations and facility policies related to patient care and medication administration. Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in assisted living facilities. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS) procedures such as CPR. Ability to perform lifting safely and handle manual tasks required for resident mobility and safety. Excellent communication skills for caregiver interactions with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments like dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Knowledge of state Board of Nursing requirements and adherence to HIPAA guidelines for maintaining patient confidentiality.
