Job Description

Job Summary:
Administer the medication and treatments of residents. Provide direct care to residents.
Job Responsibilities:
Administers and documents medication and treatment as directed.

Observes, records, and reports symptoms and conditions of residents that could be related to medication interaction, adverse drug reactions, or a side effects of the medication.

Stores medications in a safe and accurate manner while keeping medication areas clean and orderly.

Monitors medications to ensure they are refilled as required by policies.

Obtains vital signs and weights on residents as assigned and directed.

Performs CNA duties when required.
Job Qualifications & Skills:
Current Certified Medication Aide/technician certification in good standing in the state in which the facility is locatedKnowledge of safe medication administration techniqueAbility to recognize complications and adverse effects from medicationBasic computer skillsDemonstrates patience and empathy
