Responsibilities Collect, process, and analyze biological specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples using aseptic techniques and proper specimen handling protocols Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment such as PCR machines, flow cytometers, ELISA readers, and hematology analyzers to ensure optimal performance Perform diagnostic tests including immunoassays, clinical chemistry testing, microbiology testing, hematology assays, and molecular biology techniques like RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and PCR analysis Manage laboratory data efficiently using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of patient information Implement laboratory quality control protocols to uphold CLIA regulations and maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability in test results Assist with clinical trials by preparing specimens, documenting procedures, and interpreting test outcomes under supervision Support blood banking activities including venipuncture, phlebotomy, blood sampling, and processing blood components while adhering to safety standards Skills Extensive knowledge of laboratory management practices and laboratory procedures across various disciplines such as hematology, microbiology, clinical chemistry, and cytotechnology Proficiency in data management tools for analyzing laboratory results with strong attention to detail Experience with implementing laboratory quality control protocols aligned with CLIA regulations Skilled in specimen collection/processing techniques including venipuncture and phlebotomy with an emphasis on patient safety and aseptic technique Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and diagnostic test interpretation Ability to operate complex medical laboratory equipment safely and effectively while troubleshooting technical issues as needed Strong understanding of hospital or clinical environment workflows along with experience in blood banking or transfusion services Join us to be part of a committed team that values precision medicine through innovative laboratory science.
