Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Administer prescribed medications accurately in accordance with state healthcare regulations and facility policies Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for adverse reactions or changes in condition Assist residents with personal care activities, including hygiene, mobility, and feeding Maintain detailed medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Support residents with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and memory care routines Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, residents, and family members regarding medication schedules and health status Assist with resident assessments related to physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to support comprehensive care planning Requirements Valid certification as a Medication Aide recognized by the State Board of Nursing or relevant licensing authority Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Familiarity with medical documentation and electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner Knowledge of medication administration protocols including first aid, CPR, and basic life support (BLS) certifications Experience working with geriatric patients and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting safely while providing resident personal care assistance Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and state healthcare laws governing senior care settings Join us in delivering compassionate, expert care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
