Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our vibrant healthcare team. Duties Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all state healthcare regulations and facility policies Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any adverse reactions or changes in condition Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and hygiene support Maintain accurate medical documentation and medication records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Cerner or similar platforms Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans Follow protocols for tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized medical procedures as required Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient information Assist with resident activities related to memory care, dementia care, and geriatric needs to promote comfort and dignity Qualifications Valid certification as a Medication Aide recognized by the State Board of Nursing or relevant licensing authority Proven experience working in nursing homes Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior healthcare needs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or memory impairments is highly desirable Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively Proficiency in using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as PCC or EHR platforms for accurate documentation Current CPR and First Aid certifications; additional training in hospice or dementia care is a plus Strong communication skills with a compassionate caregiver approach; ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Familiarity with state healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to medication administration and patient safety Join us in delivering exceptional resident-centered care!
