Job Description
We are looking for a Caregiver to provide assistance to elderly and disabled individuals in an assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and have experience working with geriatrics. Medication aide provides leadership & oversight for the identification, development, implementation, & application of medication quality performance standards & patient safety assessment methodologies across all operational environments of Pharmacy nationally, including medication practices/processes, clinical care delivery, and medication technology. Second Shift. Medication Aide Duties & Responsibilities Will conduct routine medication cart and associated documentation audits Perform basic nursing tasks and provides accurate medication administration and quality care to the residents maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Nurse (RN or LPN) This position provides care and services such as medication administration, healthcare services, activities of daily living assistance and other duties, as assigned, in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform the following according to location standards and procedures Follows procedures for documentation, including narcotics sign out Follows up with observation and documentation of resident response to medication received Follows procedures for documentation and medical emergencies General knowledge of medication administration Completes duties delegated by RN on plan of care Maintain a safe environment under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) Model expert practice and facilitate orientation to basic resident care for new nursing staff Medication Aide Qualifications Qualifications for a job description may include education, certification, and experience.
