Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely according to established protocols and state regulations Monitor residents' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to medication treatments, documenting all observations precisely in electronic health records (EHR) systems Assist with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support for residents with diverse needs including dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care requirements Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies Support residents with tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized medical procedures as trained Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed effectively Ensure compliance with all state healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control protocols during medication administration and caregiving activities Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in assisted living or nursing home environments Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and common medical procedures such as vital signs measurement and basic life support (BLS) including CPR Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary for resident mobility or equipment use Strong caregiving skills with a focus on resident personal care assistance and dementia or Alzheimer's care Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver-resident interaction and team collaboration Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and the importance of maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Experience working within senior living facilities or home & community care settings is highly preferred Ability to adhere to state Board of Nursing standards and healthcare regulations governing medication administration and resident safety Join us in delivering compassionate care that empowers residents to live their best lives!
