Job Overview Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Medication Technician / Caregiver, where your dedication and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with diverse care needs. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration, provide personalized caregiving support, and ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of those under your care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in assisted living communities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings, utilizing your skills to promote health and independence while fostering a warm and supportive environment. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely in accordance with medical protocols and HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and observe patients for any changes in condition, reporting findings promptly to healthcare professionals Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and hygiene to promote dignity and independence Maintain detailed medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure accurate record-keeping Support patients with specialized care needs including tube feeding, catheter care, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Follow all safety procedures related to medication administration, infection control, and patient care standards based on physiology and anatomy knowledge Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care in various settings including hospice or memory care units Skills Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation and medical records management Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory impairments Ability to perform vital sign measurements accurately and recognize signs of medical emergencies or deterioration Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach tailored to seniors and individuals with disabilities Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Join us in delivering exceptional care that enhances lives!
