Med Management (non-prescriber) Specialist Healing Starts Today Kenosha, WI Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $22 - $40 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications HIPAA High school diploma or GED Certified Medication Aide Human Services Social Work Full Job Description Duties & Responsibilities Support individuals in understanding and adhering to prescribed medications as ordered by licensed medical providers Provide medication education (non-clinical, non-prescriptive) regarding purpose, dosage schedules, and potential side effects as instructed by the prescriber Assist clients with medication organization , including pill planners, medication schedules, and reminders Monitor and document medication compliance, responses, and reported side effects , and promptly communicate concerns to prescribing providers or clinical staff Coordinate with prescribers, pharmacies, nurses, and care team members to support continuity of care Assist with medication refills, pharmacy coordination, and appointment reminders Observe for changes in behavior, mood, or physical condition that may be related to medication use and report observations to licensed staff Support medication reconciliation during transitions of care (admission, discharge, hospitalization) Maintain accurate and timely medication-related documentation in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements Educate clients on the importance of medication adherence, safe storage, and proper disposal Follow HIPAA, confidentiality, and medication safety protocols Participate in care team meetings, trainings, and supervision Scope of Practice Clarification (Important) Does not prescribe, change, discontinue, or recommend medications Does not provide medical advice or clinical judgment beyond observation and reporting All medication-related decisions remain the responsibility of a licensed prescriber or medical provider Non-prescriber med management roles require: High school diploma or GED (minimum) Post-secondary education preferred : Human services Psychology Social work Nursing assistant / medical support Behavioral health or related field Required Training To safely and legally support medication management, individuals must complete: Medication administration or medication assistance training (state-approved) Medication safety training , including: Proper storage and handling Documentation standards Error prevention HIPAA and confidentiality training First Aid & CPR (often required) Infection control training Emergency response training Certification or Authorization (State-Specific) One or more of the following: Medication Administration Certification (non-nursing) Medication Aide / Medication Technician credential Assisted Living or Residential Care med-pass authorization

Hourly pay is based on level of education and experience . $22-$40 per hour
