Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE
The Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) Wellness Unit is seeking a qualified retired LRPD officer to serve as a Part-Time Wellness Unit Peer Support Liaison. This unique role supports the department's wellness mission by utilizing the experience, trust, and insight of a retired peer support team member. The selected individual will assist in enhancing wellness resources, supporting active officers, and providing mentorship rooted in first-hand law enforcement experience.

Must be a retired officer from the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) Must be willing to take LRPD's "Power in Peer" Training course Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills High degree of trust, integrity, and professionalism Understanding of mental health, trauma, and law enforcement stressors Must be able to work independently and collaboratively Subject to background review consistent with city employment standards Additional/Preferred Qualifications Certification or training in peer support, crisis response, or mental health first aid. Experience mentoring officers or facilitating wellness workshops. Familiarity with City of Little Rock and LRPD wellness-related resources
