SPED setting assisting with toileting, changing, lifting, and other duties as assigned by health office/nursing team

• Main Responsibilities
• + Assist teachers and school staff with classroom activities and daily routines + Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students + Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs + Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment + Assist students with mobility, personal care, and therapeutic needs when required + Monitor and encourage appropriate student behavior + Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers + Follow all school and district policies and procedures •Qualifications•Required•+ High School Diploma or GED + Must be at least 18 years of age + Ability to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements + Compliance with professional standards of practice Preferred + Previous experience working with children in schools, childcare, camps, tutoring, or related settings + Current CPR certification (if required) + TB screening, PPD, or chest X-ray clearance (if applicable) + Current health certificate as required by state or district regulations •

com_ The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements:

+ High School diploma or equivalent required + Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age
