Monday-Friday | Approximately 2:00 PM - 5:30

PM Hours:

10-20 hours per week (2-4 hours per day)

We are seeking compassionate, energetic, and dependable Behavior Aides to support elementary-aged students with special needs participating in an engaging After School Bridge Program . This program is designed to enhance students' academic, social, emotional, and physical development through enriching, hands-on activities in a safe and supportive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in special education, child development, psychology, social work, behavioral support, or education-related fields who are passionate about helping children reach their full potential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide support to elementary-aged students with special needs in an after-school setting Assist students with homework and reinforce academic skills Facilitate enrichment activities including arts, music, health, nutrition, and physical recreation Supervise students to ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment Implement behavior support strategies and redirect behaviors appropriately Encourage social, emotional, communication, and life skills development Support student participation in group activities and peer interactions Maintain attendance records and program documentation Collaborate with program staff and school personnel to support student success Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, patient, compassionate, and professional demeanor Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience working with children, particularly students with special needs Background in education, special education, behavioral intervention, childcare, psychology, social work, or related fields College coursework in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field Experience implementing behavioral support strategies in educational or childcare settings Benefits of This Opportunity Competitive pay of $18.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE Consistent after-school schedule Valuable experience supporting students with special needs Opportunity to develop skills in behavioral support, classroom management, and student engagement Meaningful work making a positive impact on children and families Supportive team environment Apply Today!
