Part-Time Activity Coordinator - Mental Health Program A Brighter Day Recuperative Care, LLC A Brighter Day Recuperative Care is looking for a Part-Time Activity Coordinato r to join our team. We are seeking someone who is energetic, organized, creative, and comfortable working with adults with mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience facilitating groups and activities in a mental health, behavioral health, residential, or similar setting and be comfortable encouraging clients to participate in structured programming. Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and facilitate structured groups and activities for clients. Lead groups focused on topics such as life skills, wellness, coping skills, communication, socialization, independent living, and other appropriate educational or recreational topics. Develop a monthly activity and group calendar. Prepare group materials, worksheets, and supplies in advance. Encourage client participation while maintaining a respectful and supportive group environment. Plan and coordinate appropriate recreational activities and community outings. Work with the clinical, case management, nursing, and DSP teams to support client goals and programming needs. Maintain accurate attendance and documentation for groups and activities. Assist with scheduling and coordinating client activities and appointments as assigned. Help organize special events, celebrations, and community activities. Monitor activity and group supplies and notify management when additional materials are needed. Maintain professional boundaries and follow confidentiality requirements. Follow A Brighter Day policies and applicable licensing and program requirements. Perform other program-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience conducting or facilitating groups is strongly preferred. Experience working in mental health, behavioral health, residential treatment, social services, or a similar setting preferred. Comfortable working with adults with mental health and behavioral health needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Creative and able to develop engaging groups and activities. Organized and able to manage calendars, schedules, group materials, and documentation. Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Basic computer skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality. Degree or coursework in psychology, social work, sociology, human services, behavioral health, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
