Job Description

Behavior Technician (School Setting) Position Overview We are seeking dedicated Behavior Technicians to support students with special needs in a school-based setting. The Behavior Technician works collaboratively with teachers, school staff, behavioral specialists, and related service providers to implement behavioral interventions and support educational goals. This role focuses on promoting positive behaviors, improving student engagement, and helping students achieve academic and social success. Key Responsibilities + Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies under the direction of school and behavioral professionals. + Provide one-on-one and small group behavioral support to students with special needs. + Assist students in developing social, communication, and adaptive skills. + Monitor student progress and document behavioral observations as required. + Collaborate with educators, therapists, and other support staff to achieve student goals. + Support a safe, structured, and positive learning environment. + Follow all school, district, state, and federal policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Minimum age of 18 years. + Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred. + Current CPR certification, if applicable. + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable. + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
