Center :
The Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center of St. Clair County is located in East St. Louis, IL. The Center has been in operation since 1957 serving the needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Our mission is to provide quality individualized essential services for people in need of emotional, rehabilitative and social support. We strive to be the top-ranking Community Behavioral Health Center within its size, population and category in the State of Illinois.
Description :
This is an opportunity to respond first to mental health crises in adults and children within the St. Louis Metro-East area in St. Clair County. Be a part of the new 988 National Suicide Prevention Hotline. Knowledge, skills and abilities : Skilled in deescalating behaviors of those experiencing behavioral health crises. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Able to use Microsoft Office, electronic health record and other reporting programs. Willingness and ability to flex schedule as program needs change.
Primary Duties :
Respond immediately to the location of a behavioral health crisis to screen an individual's needs and assist the individual in receiving the appropriate level of care. Communicate effectively within a team environment to meet the needs of those experiencing behavioral health crises. Assist individuals in becoming involved in their own mental health and / or substance abuse recovery process so they might develop personalized action plans for their own mental, emotional, physical and social health. Provide referrals and coordination of referrals to appropriate agency services. Conduct outreach and community engagement within our service area in order to ensure people in the community are aware of the services we offer. Maintain compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agency requirements.

Director of Crisis Services Requirements :
Lived experience with recovery Have or earn CRSS or CPRS designation within one year of hire Maintain CRSS or CPRS designation through continuing education High school diploma, GED, or higher education Valid driver's license Obtain and maintain IM+
CATS, CPI and CPR Certifications Schedule:
Full Time (a combination of 3:00pm-11:00pm and 11:00pm-7:00am shifts) Part time (Sat and Sunday 7am-3pm + availability to pick up additional hours occasionally. (16-24 hours per week)
Pay:
$17.45 per hour
