Job Description

In this contracted, full-time opportunity, you will play a vital role as a paraprofessional, helping foster a positive classroom environment and making a direct impact on students daily experiences. As a paraprofessional, youll work closely with teachers and students, providing one-on-one and small group support throughout the school day. Your intuitive approach and previous experience with elementary-aged children, particularly those with challenging behaviors, will help create an atmosphere where all students can thrive. What youll need to excel:
Valid Illinois Paraprofessional certification Experience supporting students with challenging behaviors Preference for experience with toileting assistance Confident working in a dynamic classroom environment Strong communication and collaboration skills Day-to-day responsibilities: Assist teachers with classroom management and instructional support Provide attentive support to students, including one-on-one assistance Engage with students during lessons, group work, and activities Help facilitate a safe and inclusive learning environment Support students with personal care needs, including toileting when required As a valued support professional, youll enjoy a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 35 hours per week (with breaks and a lunch period built in) throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
