Part-Time Nights Shift:
7am
  • 730pm/Two 12-hour shifts /Rotate every 3rd weekend Creates and supports a therapeutic environment for safe treatment implementation.
Performs observation rounds on assigned patients, documenting in real time in order to detect behavior patterns. Observes patients to detect behavior patterns and report observations and concerns to the Registered Nurse or behavioral health clinician. Utilizes clear and positive communication skills to assess and provide therapeutic intervention for patients' and families' needs and concerns. Implements patient-centered care and trauma-informed care. Identifies early signs of escalation in patients and effectively de-escalates. Intervenes to intervene with violent, potentially violent, or suicidal patients as required, and monitors patients according to policy guidelines. Orients patients and families to the unit. Manages or assists with daily group activities. Performs environmental rounds per policy and report unsafe conditions. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate appropriately, professionally, and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
