Direct Service Worker OPS Family Care, LLC New Orleans, LA Job Details Part-time $12 - $15 an hour 13 hours ago Benefits On-the-job training Qualifications High school diploma or GED Experience working with children Direct support Performing background checks Working with individuals with mental health conditions Human Services Full Job Description The Direct Service Worker will provide Short Term Respite services to Children and Independent Living Skills to Adolescents with mental health diagnoses. This position is ideal for students seeking experience in the behavioral health field as well as those with child care experience. It is also appropriate for the candidate with experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral challenges. Short Term Respite is provided in the community and/or the child's home and is designed to provide care for children and provide support to families. Independent Living Skills is designed to help adolescents to develop skills that prepare them for life and transition to young adulthood and is also provided in the home and/or community. The Direct Service Worker must be at least 21 years of age, with a high school diploma and have at least two years experience working with children with Serious Emotional Disturbances or equivalently qualified by education in the human services field or a combination of work experience and education, with one year of education substituting for one year of experience. The ideal candidate has the ability to work at minimum of approximately 20-25 hours per week ._ Salary is $12-$15 per hour and is based on experience and education. Availability on evenings and weekends is required. Schedules and availability of hours are determined by client need. _On the job training is provided. Pre-employment Drug Screening, Tuberculosis Screening, Motor Vehicles Screening, and Background Check are required.
