Therapeutic Aide
Therapeutic Aides Hourly Rate:
$15.00 - $23.00 per hour
Location:
Baltimore, Maryland; Onsite Position Summary As a Therapeutic Aide, you will provide academic, behavioral, and personal support services to students within Baltimore City Schools in a structured school-based setting. This role supports students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs by assisting with classroom engagement, behavior management, social integration, and daily living support. Therapeutic Aides may also assist with implementing Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) while collaborating closely with teachers, behavior teams, and school staff to promote student success and safety. Responsibilities Schedule / Shift
  • Shift details: School-day schedule, Monday-Friday
  • Hours per week: Full-time and part-time opportunities available
  • Contract length: School-based assignment Key Duties
  • Support students in achieving academic, behavioral, and social goals within the classroom environment
  • Assist with implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Utilize behavior management techniques and physical intervention strategies when necessary for student safety
  • Provide personal care support including toileting, hygiene assistance, clothing changes, and snack support as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, behavior supervisors, related service providers, and school staff
  • Assist with classroom organization, instructional support, and student supervision throughout the school day
  • Collect behavioral and academic data and share observations with educational teams
  • Facilitate safe transitions between classrooms and school environments
  • Support transportation and bus supervision as needed
  • Participate in professional development, trainings, meetings, and additional duties as assigned Requirements Education
Required:
High school diploma or GED
    Required:
    Must be at least 18 years of age Licenses & Certifications
      Required:
      Successful completion of CPI training
        Required:
        Ability to complete fingerprinting and district clearance requirements Skills
        • Ability to follow direction from teachers, principals, and educational staff
        • Strong communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing Standard English
        • Ability to support students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs
        • Emotional maturity and a compassionate, student-centered approach
        • Ability to physically assist students, including lifting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and participating in physical interventions when necessary
        • Willingness to complete required RCM training programs related to behavior management and classroom procedures Benefits Per Diem / Temporary (Hourly) Roles
