Certified Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health Kindred Treatment Center | Manchester / Hampstead, MD Full-Time | Part-Time Options Available Kindred Treatment Center is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. We are an outpatient mental health and substance use treatment program serving the community, and we're growing. Workplace culture matters here. You'll work side-by-side with our clinical and medical team supporting clients who are actively working on recovery and mental health goals. Key Responsibilities Prepare charts, reports, and daily schedules for psychiatric providers Submit and track prior authorizations for medications, labs, and services Coordinate scheduling for intakes, follow-ups, and provider appointments Assist with administration of long-acting injectable medications under provider supervision Collect urine drug screens and breathalyzers Administer and score screening tools Take vital signs and complete basic clinical screenings Support medical records requests, referrals, and documentation tracking Help maintain compliance and organization across the program Requirements Active CMA or CCMA certification Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience Comfortable working with behavioral health and substance use clients Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving outpatient setting Preferred Experience Prior work in substance use or mental health treatment Experience with prior authorizations and insurance verification Familiarity with urine drug screen collection Knowledge of ASAM criteria or Maryland behavioral health regulations What We Offer Competitive pay Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid time off and sick leave Continuing education support Opportunities for growth within a growing organization Supportive team environment
